Menken Collection consists of work by several artists. All pieces seen here were either created or collected by Ingrid Menken (1952-2010). Ingrid was part of the administration at Haystack Mountain School of Craft for over twenty two years. She took many workshops at Haystack, and became an accomplished metalsmith and printmaker, showing and selling her work in galleries in New England and New Mexico.
Deer Isle's Turtle Gallery will feature Ingrid Menken: Her Work and Her Collection, July 15-August 4, 2012, with an opening reception on Sunday, July 15 at 2 p.m.
A percentage of the sales from this show will benefit Haystack's Ingrid Menken Scholarship Fund.
